The World Press Photo Multimedia Contest

The media economy is in a state of constant flux, with digital technologies and the spread of the internet transforming how we produce and consume stories.

The World Press Photo Multimedia Contest rewards those storytellers producing the best new forms of visual journalism enabled by these changes.

The contest is open to multimedia storytellers, visual journalists, producers, and entry coordinators, with submissions that include the work of a professional visual journalist. Registration for access to the entry site is now closed. The 2017 World Press Photo Multimedia Contest will open for entries in December 2016.

Timeline

  • December: Contest website opens for entries
