The school was founded by Rajesh Kumar Sharma (40), who was unable to complete his own college education, because of financial difficulties. Every day he takes two hours out to teach children of local laborers, while his brother replaces him at his general store. Together with an assistant, Laxmi Chandra, Sharma gives lessons to around 45 children daily, having persuaded their families to free them from working to earn money. He aims to prepare his students for admission to government schools, and to equip them for overcoming poverty.

L’école a été fondée par Rajesh Kumar Sharma (40 ans) qui n’a pas pu achever ses études secondaires pour des raisons financières. Chaque jour, pendant que son frère le remplace dans son épicerie, il prend deux heures pour enseigner.
Aidé de son assistant, Laxmi Chandra, Sharma fait cours quotidiennement à environ 45 enfants. Il a persuadé leurs familles de les dispenser de travailler pour gagner de l’argent. Il veut préparer ses élèves à l’admission aux écoles gouvernementales et leur donner les moyens de triompher de la pauvreté.
