World Press Photo receives CBF Seal of Approval

World Press Photo has received official accreditation for good practices from the Central Bureau on Fundraising (CBF), an independent regulatory body in the Netherlands.

The CBF Seal of Approval, granted on October 8, establishes that World Press Photo operates in a responsible and accountable manner as a beneficiary of lottery funds.

The World Press Photo Foundation is not itself involved in fundraising, but does receive financial assistance from the Dutch Postcode Lottery. The CBF Seal indicates that the foundation has undergone a thorough assessment by the CBF, and has been approved as a beneficiary of gaming funds for good causes.

The CBF Seal is an acknowledgement of the foundation's trustworthiness. All holders of the seal must adhere to a strict set of regulations. The seal is valid for five years, but the CBF monitors all recipients annually to ensure standards are maintained.
