World Press Photo reduces its carbon footprint

In line with our participation in Hier (here), a campaign fighting global warming instigated by the beneficiaries of the Dutch Postcode Lottery, World Press Photo has committed itself to conform to regulations aimed at operating in a carbon neutral fashion from the end of this year.

On April 18 a total of 40 organizations, many with international affiliations, announced that they would set an example by reducing their carbon footprint with immediate effect. The City of Amsterdam and National Geographic were among the organizations that showed their support by co-signing the declaration.

Our membership of GreenSeats means that we compensate the CO2 emissions of all flights we book, including those for our guests at the Awards Days.
