Georges Merillon

Georges Merillon (France) was a founding member of the agency Collectif Presse, where he worked on various stories in France and internationally from 1981 to 1987. In 2001 he joined Agence Gamma as a chief editor, becoming their editorial director in 2004. Merillon has received numerous awards for his work, including the European Fuji Award first prize (1993), the first prize in News at the festival du journalisme d'Angers (1994), and in 1995 he received his third World Press Photo award in the category News Stories.
