Sujong Song is a freelance photo editor. She began her career in photojournalism when she joined Korean Geo, where she worked as editor-in-chief and director of photography until 2004. From 2005 through 2006, she successfully led the revamp of Morning Calm, the in-flight magazine of Korean Air, as its editor-in-chief.

Since then, her work has covered a wide range of fields including publishing, editing, and the organization of exhibitions. She was the symposium director of the Daegu Photo Biennnale for both 2006 and 2007, and the director of Seoul Photo Fair 2008. She has also been invited to the Angkor Photo Festival 2008, as curator and member of the executive board.

This is the second time Sujong has sat on the World Press Photo jury. At the moment, she is preparing a project involving an exhibition and publication on the 14 most active Korean documentary photographers.
