Born in Canada in 1973, Kevin Frayer is chief photographer for the Associated Press for Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip and is based in Jerusalem. Since 2003 he has extensively covered Israel and the Palestinian Territories, with a focus on the Gaza Strip where he was based in 2003 and 2004.
Frayer began his career in 1991 in the former Yugoslavia, and worked for the Canadian Press before joining the AP. He has covered major stories across the Middle East and Central Asia, and his work has been published in leading newspapers, magazines and websites around the world.
