Kosuke Okahara (29), Japan, was born in Tokyo. He started photography at the age of 23 in Colombia, learning from local journalists. In his work he devotes himself to the concept of Ibasyo, which roughly means ‘the comfortable emotional and physical space that leads to content or inner peace'.
His works appears in Newsweek Japan, Photo, Courrier International and Le Monde among many others, and has been exhibited across Asia. Kosuke's accolades include a second prize in the Sony World Photography Awards and mention in PDN's 30 emerging photographers to watch, both in 2009.
