Stefano De Luigi was born in 1964 in Cologne, Germany. He lives in Milan, Italy and has been a member of VII/Network Agency since 2008. He attended the High Institute of Photography in Rome from 1986-1988. His work has been exhibited widely and published in Stern, Paris Match, Le Monde 2, New Yorker, Eyemazing, Geo, Vanity Fair, Time and Newsweek.
He was a participant in the 1997 World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. He has received numerous awards for his work, including second prize in Arts and Entertainment in the 2007 World Press Photo contest and third prize in Arts and Entertainment in the 1998 World Press Photo contest.
