In 2004, Joan Bardeletti resigned from his position as an engineer to attend training at the Centre Iris for photography in Paris. At this time he began an internship at the METIS Agency. From 2004-2007, he covered stories from Ecuador, Haiti, China, Cyprus, Lebanon and France. In 2006, he joined the agency Picturetank.
From reportage to documentary, Bardeletti's work gives particular attention to the coherence of the photographic form and the underlying of the journalistic subject. He is interested in the link between people and events or by structures that go beyond them (revolution, war, administration, firm, etc.). He gives priority to long-term and thorough works that are linked, but distanced, from current events.
