Kate Edwards (UK) is picture editor at The Guardian Weekend magazine,
responsible for finding and proposing its lead visual stories. She
joined the staff as deputy picture editor in 1999, and has held her
current position since 2002.
In the late 1990s, Kate traveled
through Central and South America, eventually settling for a year in
Buenos Aires, where she worked as a picture researcher for Superstock
and as picture archivist for the Buenos Aires Herald,
establishing a digital archive for the paper. She has also worked as a
picture researcher for Action Plus sports photographic agency in the
UK.
