Following the disputed result of the Iranian presidential election, supporters of the losing candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi began to climb to their rooftops in the evenings and shout expressions of their discontent. As the streets emptied and went quiet after daytime demonstrations, cries of ‘Allahu akbar!’ and ‘Death to the dictator!’ filled the night air. | |
