Mohamed Hossam

Born in 1987, Mohamed Hossam is an Egyptian photojournalist who received his bachelor's in journalism at Akhbar Elyom Academy in 2008. Mohamed has worked at the daily newspaper Al-Masry Al-Youm since 2007 and is a freelancer for Anadolu Agency, the official news agency of Turkey. He previously worked as a freelance photographer for Agence France Presse (AFP).

Mohamed is a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Journalists and the Egyptian coordinator of Photographers for Charity, an international organization that aims at promoting charity through photography.

His work has won numerous awards in Egypt Press Photo, an annual contest held by Egyptian Syndicate of Journalists.
