Beim 2000-m-Hindernislauf der Jungen während der Jugend-Olympiade in Singapur im Bishan-Stadion im August stolpert Ioran Etchechury aus Brasilien und fällt kopfüber ins Wasser. An dieser ersten Jugend-Olympiade nahmen 3.351 Athleten zwischen 14 und 18 Jahren teil, die von 204 nationalen Olympischen Komitees nominiert worden waren.

Ioran Etchechury of Brazil trips and falls headfirst, during the boys 2000-meter steeplechase at Bishan Stadium, during the Youth Olympics. The first ever Youth Olympic Games, held in Singapore, attracted 3,351 athletes between the ages of 14 and 18, nominated by 204 National Olympic Committees.

El brasileño Ioran Etchechury tropieza y cae de cabeza en una prueba de 2.000 metros obstáculos (juvenil) en el estadio de Bishan durante los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud en Singapur, en agosto.
