Michael Phelps aus den USA, Takeshi Matsuda aus Japan und Chen Yin aus China nehmen am 27. Juli am 200-m-Schmetterling-Finale der Herren teil. Phelps gewann Gold, Matsuda Silber und Chen wurde Vierter. Die 14. Wassersport-Weltmeisterschaften wurden im Juli in Shanghai, China, ausgetragen.

L’Américain Michael Phelps, le Japonais Takeshi Matsuda et le Chinois Chen Yin nagent la finale du 200 m papillon hommes, le 27 juillet. Phelps remportera la médaille d’or, Matsuda celle d’argent et Chen sera 4e. Les 14e Championnats du monde des sports aquatiques ont eu lieu en juillet à Shanghai, en Chine.
