Ein Porträt des Gründers von Nordkorea, Kim Il Sung, schmückt ein Haus in der Hauptstadt. Nachfolger des „Großen Führers“ war ab 1994 sein Sohn Kim Jong Il. Dieser starb am 17. Dezember und hatte seinen jüngsten Sohn Kim Jong Un  27 oder 28 Jahre) zum Nachfolger bestimmt.

A portrait of North Korea’s founder, Kim Il-sung, decorates a building in the country’s capital Pyongyang. The ‘Great Leader’, as he was known, was succeeded by his son Kim Jong-il, in 1994. Kim Jong-il died on 17 December, having designated his youngest son Kim Jong-un (aged 27 or 28) as heir.

Kim Jong-il murió el 17 de diciembre, habiendo designado como sucesor al más joven de sus hijos, Kim Jong-un, de 27 o 28 años.

Voor zijn dood op 17 december heeft Kim Jong-il zijn jongste zoon Kim Jong-un (27 of 28 jaar oud) als zijn erfgenaam aangewezen.
