Ein Model der neunten Dakar Fashion Week posiert vor einer Schneiderei im Zentrum von Dakar, Senegal. Sie trägt ein Kleid der amerikanischsenegalesischen Modedesignerin Yolande Ngom Mancini. Die Modewoche entstand 2003 auf Initiative eines früheren Models, der heutigen Designerin Adama Paris, als Privatprojekt und entwickelte sich zur führenden Modedesign-Show des Kontinents.

She is wearing a dress by US-based Senegalese designer Yolande Ngom Mancini. The Fashion Week began in 2003, as a private venture without government support, at the initiative of former model turned designer Adama Paris and has become a leading showcase for design from across the continent.

Een model poseert voor een kleermakersstalletje in het centrum van Dakar in Senegal tijdens de negende editie van de Dakar Fashion Week. Ze draagt een creatie van de Senegalese designer Yolande Ngom Mancini, die woonachtig is in de VS. De modeweek startte in 2003 als een particuliere onderneming zonder regeringssteun op initiatief van oud-model en designer Adama Paris. Inmiddels is het een toonaangevend platform voor design uit heel Afrika.
