For Justin Maxon, the project took on a very personal and intimate note, following his transition from a path of chaos to one of healing. He shot in Kodachrome to exemplify the longing for color in his life. Moments are layered together, creating a patchwork of feelings.

Justin Maxon, USA, was born in a small town in the woods of northern California, and took to photography at an early age. He is interested mainly in pursuing long-term projects that examine the complexities of human struggle. His clients include Time, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Justin has received numerous awards for his photography, including a World Press Photo first prize, UNICEF Images of the Year, POYi, and NPPA's Best of Photojournalism.
