The World Press Photo yearbook has been restyled with a view to present the award-winning photographs to the best advantage.
Art director Teun van der Heijden took the requirement to give free rein to the photography as his starting point in restyling the World Press Photo Yearbook. The new layout allows the designer greater freedom, while the overall impression suggests a magazine rather than a catalog. The new publisher Mets & Schilt, which boasts many years experience in the reproduction and printing of art and photography, cooperated with several other leading publishers of photo books. The result gives us every confidence that the restyled yearbook will appeal to visitors to both our exhibitions and bookshops all over the world.
