Workshops

We aim to stimulate the work of photographers through education and training.

This goal leads to direct involvement with photographers themselves and practical support in their development of skills. Ever since the first weekend-long workshop in Budapest in 1990, educative programs have helped fill gaps in conventional training and encouraged photographers to explore possibilities and further their limits.

World Press Photo works with individual photographers and students of journalism - at an advanced stage and at a basic level - as well as with partner organizations, in countries where there is a shortage of educational opportunity in both accredited courses and informal training.
