From a tree, men watch how an Indian film is being made in Kabul. The film crew drew a crowd, as entertainment is rare in the Afghan capital. Since the Soviet invasion in 1979 one million Afghans died in the war and five million left the country as refugees. Accepting violence and uncertainty have become a way of life in Kabul.
