About the photographer
Ilona Szwarc is a Polish-born artist based in New York City. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and she is currently pursuing a graduate degree in photography at Yale University.
Ilona has held solo exhibitions in New York, Paris and Lille, as well as group shows internationally. Her awards include an Arnold Newman Prize, a World Press Photo award, and accolades from PDN. Ilona’s work has been featured in numerous publications worldwide, including The New York Times Magazine, Time, The New Yorker and The Telegraph Magazine. Her projects ‘American Girls’ and ‘Rodeo Girls’ have received worldwide recognition.
