Juan Arredondo (b.1977) is a Colombian-American photographer currently based in Bogota, Colombia.
While working as a research scientist at a major pharmaceutical company, he became interested in photography. After studying photography at ICP and interning for photographers Lori Grinker and Eugene Richards he traveled to Colombia where he has been covering social and human rights issues around the region.
Juan's work has been recognized by several awards including Getty grant for editorial photography, Aaron Siskind Fellowship, ICRC Humanitarian Visa D'Or award and the Aftermath Project grant.
He is a regular contributor to The New York Times and National Geographic, among others.
