Stephen Kim immigrated from South Korea to the United States as a young boy speaking no English. He developed a love of western literature, philosophy, history and most importantly, his new home, the United States. Earning multiple degrees from Georgetown & Harvard, and a Ph.D. from Yale, he would go on to become one of the State Department's top intelligence experts on North Korea and nuclear non-proliferation. 

This documentary tells the story of how Kim was suddenly charged under the Espionage Act in 2010 for leaking classified information to Fox News reporter James Rosen. It intimately documents Kim’s struggle to understand the events surrounding his prosecution — and to survive the ordeal of being caught in the government's controversial crackdown on press freedoms. More leak cases have been prosecuted by the Obama Administration than by all prior presidential administrations combined.
