The World Press Photo Foundation will be at the Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism in Hannover, Germany to showcase work from the 6x6 Global Talent Program and African Photojournalism Database (APJD).

This is the first exhibition of these two initiatives by World Press Photo, as part of a continued effort to support and develop opportunities for the talents of the 6x6 Program and APJD.

Located in the container village, the 6x6 Program will present work by the 18 talents of the first three global regions. The new multimedia presentation includes Hannah Reyes Morales, Huiying Ore, Maika Elan, Matthew Abbott, Sirachai Arunrugstichai, Yoppy Pieter, Fabiola Ferrero, Felipe Fittipaldi, Luján Agusti, Oscar B Castillo, Pablo Ernesto Piovano, and Tamara Merino.

The APJD container will spotlight the work of 13 members from across Africa: Eric Gyamfi, Gulshan Khan, Ayobami Ogungbe, Ngadi Smart, Yoriyas Yassine Alaoui Ismaili, Sarah Waiswa, Mustafa Saeed, Rahima Gambo, Fethi Sahraoui, Robert Nzaou-Kissolo, Hilina Abebe, Leke Alabi-Isama, and Donwilson Odhiambo. Titled ‘Foreseen’, the APJD exhibition celebrates a new generation of photographers who are redefining what should be seen, and how, through the stories that matter to them.

The 6th edition of the Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism offers exhibitions by 60 photojournalists, the container village, portfolio-reviews, lectures, panel-discussions, guided tours and a photo fair.
