When and where is the World Press Photo Festival?

The World Press Photo Festival 2020 takes place at Amsterdam’s Westergas on 17-18 April from 09:00 - 19:00 daily.

Friday and two-day passes include the entrance to the exclusive Opening Night of the World Press Photo Exhibition 2020 at De Nieuwe Kerk on 17 April from 20:00 - 23:00.

In addition, ticket holders are invited to enjoy a range of activities, courtesy of our various partners. Please visit our ticket page for more information.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available online and at the registration desk located in the Machinegebouw. Due to limited capacity, we recommend you purchase your tickets online prior to the start of the festival. Get your tickets here.

Do you offer a student discount?

Yes. Please visit our ticket page for more information and make sure to bring your student ID with you when picking up your ticket at the registration desk.

I have bought a ticket online, when and where can I pick it up?

The registration desk is located in the Machinegebouw. The opening hours are:
Thursday 16 April 12:00 - 16:00
Friday 17 April 09.00 - 19:00
Saturday 18 April 09.00 - 19:00

Do I need to bring an ID with me when picking up my ticket?

All visitors who bought a ticket online should bring ID when picking up their ticket at the registration desk.

I accidentally bought the wrong ticket, can I exchange it?

Due to limited capacity, it is not possible to exchange your ticket.

I bought a ticket, but am unable to attend, can I receive a refund?

We do not offer refunds.

I am a member of the media and plan on attending. What do I do?

Am I allowed to take photos at the World Press Photo Festival?

You are welcome to take photos to share on social media during your visit to the World Press Photo Festival. We invite you to use #WPPhFestival as the event hashtag.

Is the World Press Photo Festival wheelchair accessible?

All festival activities are wheelchair accessible, except the events held at the World Press Photo House. Unfortunately, our monumental building is not accessible for wheelchair users.
