Michael Tabb Arielle Ray

Michael Tabb is a video journalist at Quartz, where he reports, produces, and animates stories about how our bodies work and where we exist in the universe.

He’s also done work for the Wall Street Journal, Popular Science, and Scientific American.

Michael’s video on how scientists are training paraplegics to walk again using virtual reality was featured in the 2017 Sundance Film Festival's New Frontier exhibit. His work explaining the physics of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles was a finalist for a 2017 Online Journalism Award in sports reporting.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Washington University in St. Louis, with minors in studio art and physics.
