Tiago Santana

He received the Bolsa Vitae de Artes in 1994 for the project Benditos, a book of the same name was published in 2000, and won the Marc Ferrez Photography Prize in 1995. In 2007 Santana won the Conrado Wessel Prize for Photographic Essay and the Paulista Association of Art Critics (APCA) Award, for the essay O Chão de Graciliano, written in partnership with journalist Audálio Dantas. He won the Best Photography Award in Brazil in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and in 2010, he received the Porto Seguro Brazil Photography Award.

Santana has works published in magazines and books in Brazil and abroad. In 2011 he was the second Brazilian to have his work published in the French book collection Photo Poche, with the title Sertão. In 2014, he published the book Céu de Luiz. He is the founder of Editora Tempo D'Imagem publishing house in Brazil.
