World Press Photo Foundation and Fujifilm announce a strategic partnership

Partnership with Fujifilm will help bring more support to photographers and more stories to the world

We are very pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with FUJIFILM Corporation. Both organizations are committed to the development of the press and documentary photography community, and we look forward to working together.

This partnership will help us bring striking images and compelling stories to an even wider audience than before through our worldwide exhibitions and online platforms.

Benefits of the partnership include:

  • Support for our annual contest, exhibitions and other activities
  • Photographer workshops in 10 cities around the world in 2024 with more in following years
  • In-kind donation of photograph printing services
  • A large format mirrorless digital camera FUJIFILM GFX100 II, with two ​​GF lenses of choice, two Li-ion batteries and dual battery charger for each of the four contest global winners
  • Sharing of knowledge and inspiration to better serve the photographer community

Fujifilm and past World Press Photo Contest winners

There have been numerous past winners who have used Fujifilm equipment to create their awarded work. Two examples include,Y asuyoshi Chiba’s World Press Photo of the Year in 2020 (shot using a FUJIFILM X-H1 camera), and Antonio Faccilongo’s World Press Photo Story of the Year in 2021 (shot using a FUJIFILM X-T1 camera).

Please note that the jury is not provided information about which equipment is used, and this is not a consideration in their deliberations.
