World Press Photo has received official accreditation for good practices from the Central Bureau on Fundraising.

The coverage on the World Press Photo website of this year's award-winning work and its authors has been considerably extended, including a special interview project together with the University of Miami School of Communication.

World Press Photo has committed itself to conform to regulations aimed at operating in a carbon neutral fashion from the end of this year.

During the Awards Ceremony, the Mayor of the City of Amsterdam Dr. Job Cohen presented the Chairman of the Executive Board Gerrit Jan Wolffensperger with a Royal Decoration.
