We are pleased to introduce the professionals from all around the world who will select and award the best visual journalism of 2020. Entries for the 2021 Photo Contest and 2021 Digital Storytelling Contest close on 13 January 2020. After that, the 2021 Photo Contest jury, chaired by NayanTara Gurung Kakshapati and the 2021 Digital Storytelling Contest jury, chaired by Muyi Xiao, will convene the judging. Meet the juries.
The African Photojournalism Database (APJD) is a directory of emerging and professional African visual journalists reporting on cultural, economic, environmental, political and social issues on the continent, as well as sports, nature, and stories of everyday life. There are over 500 photographers currently listed on the database. See the list of members.

'Pan-African Photojournalism and Its Positions' is an exhibition and public programming initiative in collaboration with Market Photo Workshop that will bring award-winning visual journalists and emerging photographers into a critical conversation about the future of visual storytelling within journalism in Africa.
