Jaap J. Herschel

Dutch photographer Jaap J. Herschel (1940) worked for the Dutch magazine the Haagsche Courant and the photo and film department of the Dutch Army, before joining the Dutch photo agency Fotobureau 't Sticht, which was founded by his father Max Herschel in 1935. He later became director of 't Sticht. Herschel was a member of the Executive Board of the Dutch Association of Photojournalists (Nederlandse Vereniging van Fotojournalisten), and he was a board member of the World Press Photo foundation between 1993 and 1999.
