Born in Zellah, Libya in 1978, Ibrahim Al Agouri is now a resident of Benghazi. In addition to exhibitions in Libya since 2009, Al Agouri won a bronze medal at Hamburg’s The Sun and the Sea photography competition and fourth place at the eighth Arab-European Photo Festival. His images of his country’s revolution have been published in prestigious publications including The Telegraph, The Times, and The International Herald Tribune. He is now the Editorial Director of JPG, Libya’s first magazine for photography, as well as a regular photographer for The Associated Press. He is also VP of the Benghazi Photography Society and a member of the Arab Union of Photographers.
