Jonas Staselis studied journalism at Vilnius University, during which time he was the photographer for the magazine “Moksleivis”. Soon after, he filled the position of photographer, and later on senior photographer, at the Latvian national daily “Lietuvos Rytas”.
From 2005 to 2009, he worked as a photographer for magazine “Žmones”. During that time, Jonas has been director of international photojournalism festival “Vilnius Photo Circle” since 2007, and since 2009 Jonas serves as chairman of the Lithuanian Photographers Association. Additionally, he is the founder of the non-profit organization Lithuanian Press Photographers Club and has been its president since 2001.
