Lars Willumeit

Lars Willumeit trained in photography and studied Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has worked for several editorial photo desks since 2000, including the GEO office in Hamburg and New York and took part in various book and exhibition projects for the German magazine.
After relocating to Zurich in Switzerland, Willumeit has been photo director for DU magazine from 2008 until 2013. He has led various workshops and panel discussions relating to photography, lectured on the subject and has been active on juries and in portfolio review sessions (Photo Espana (PHE), Les Recontres d'Arles, and Pla(t)tform Fotomuseum Winterthur, among others).
Lars currently works as an independent photo consultant and is studying for a Master of Arts degree in Curatorial Studies and Art Education at the University of the Arts in Zurich.
