At Getty Images, he commissions photographers across Southeast Asia, parts of South Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan for news and editorial coverage.

He began his career at an independent production house in New York City before returning to Singapore to join the Reuters global picture desk. He then moved on to the International New York Times in Hong Kong, assigning photographers to feature stories and editing them for the Asia print edition.

Laurence now collaborates with local and international photographers around the region, focusing on current issues, spot news, and long term stories, committing to using photography to affect meaningful change. He documents daily life through his own lens in Hong Kong and during his travels in parts of Central Asia and around Asia Pacific.
