Mahmoud Khaled was born in 1988. He began learning about photography in April 2010 and has since worked for various Egyptian newspapers, most recently the daily Al-Masry Al-Youm. He also works as a stringer for Agence France-Presse. His main focus is news and street photography.
His work has earned him many awards, including an Egypt Press Photo Jury Award 2013 in the news category and National Geographic Magazine (Egypt)’s 2012 Egyptian Revolution Prize.
