Mikko Takkunen is an associate photo editor at Time.com, concentrating on international coverage. Born in 1979, and originally from Finland, Takkunen lived in the UK for 10 years. Before joining Time in 2013, he spent two years working as a freelance photographer in London for various international newspapers.
In 2007, Takkunen started the popular Photojournalism Links website, for which he curates interesting photojournalism found on the web. Photojournalism Links is now published daily on Time’s LightBox photo blog. Takkunen lives in Brooklyn, New York.
