Robert McFarlane has been a documentary photographer for 50 years. In the past 30 years he has also written extensively for Australian and international media, including The Sunday Times Magazine, the Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian newspapers.
McFarlane's work has been widely exhibited in Australia at the Art Gallery of NSW, the Art Gallery of Australia and private galleries. He was also part of Noorderlicht 1999, in its 'Wonderland' category.
