Socrates Kakoulides

A documentary filmmaker and physician, Socrates is a senior producer on United Nations Virtual Reality experiences “Waves of Grace,” the story of an Ebola survivor in Liberia, and “Clouds Over Sidra” about a young girl's life in a Syrian refugee camp.

His work was featured at Sundance, IDFA and awarded the Interactive Award at Sheffield in 2015. 

Socrates is a cardiologist and a published researcher on public health in underserved communities. This work includes studying the effects of Hurricane Katrina on cardiovascular health in New Orleans and producing health advocacy media in Kenya.
