His films have been selected to Cannes, Sundance, IDFA, SXSW, Cinéma Du Réel, Morelia and others. His work has exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Natural History Museum and United Nations Headquarters in New York, as well as featured in The New York Times and The New Yorker magazine. In 2015 his first interactive documentary, {THE AND} garnered an Emmy for New Approaches to Documentary as well as a World Press Photo award in the 2015 Multimedia Contest for Interactive Documentary.
Topaz is the founder and creative director of The Skin Deep, a creative studio building experiences focused on exploring human connection in the digital age.
