Chiara Avesani

Chiara Avesani  is a journalist. After graduating from law school, she has worked for an international corporate law firm before shifting to journalism. 

She has worked for many years for RAI Italian National Public TV, for investigative programs as 'Report' and reporting on environmental topics. As a free lance journalist, she collaborated with Al Jazeera America for 'Compass', a foreign policy program, and 'America Tonight', covering stories on the migrant exodus and she reported from Mosul, Iraq for Sky news.

Recently, she collaborated with a Netflix documentary production. In 2016, Chiara teamed with filmmaker Matteo Delbò for the project 'Frontline of peace' an ongoing web documentary series on the Iraqi civil society efforts to rebuilt. Ghadeer is the first story of the project.
