She is currently based in Bangkok and working for a variety of international clients. From Myanmar’s 2015 election and Hong Kong’s Umbrella Revolution to Egypt’s political upheaval, and the Palestinian human rights crisis, Mustard has covered numerous history-shaping events while diving into investigative projects covering a variety of subjects including sex workers’ rights and welfare and human trafficking. Additionally, she has extensive experience working on sensitive topics with children and victims of trauma with respect and nuance, as well as operating in high-stress environments and areas of conflict while under tight deadlines.

Mustard was named one of PDN’s 30 Under 30 in 2015 and attended the Eddie Adams Workshop & NYT Portfolio Review in 2013. She is also first aid trained through RISC (Reporters Instructed in Saving Colleagues).

In addition to taking assignments, Mustard is currently working on a long-term personal project about multi-generational familial child sex abuse.
