Ayperi Karabuda is a documentary photography editor and strategist, former global vice president of pictures at Reuters, editor-in-chief at Magnum Photos Paris, and bureau chief at SIPA New York.
Karabuda has headed a large spectrum of initiatives, pushing the boundaries for news photography. She was involved with three Emmy-nominated multimedia pieces and the award-winning innovative app “The Wider Image”.
Additionally, she served as jury chair for the 2010 World Press Photo Contest and has been a master in the Joop Swart Masterclass four times.
