Wolfgang Peter Geller

The German photographer Wolfgang Peter Geller (Hamburg 1945), went to law school after graduating from high school. He taught himself photography. Between 1968 and 1970, he worked as a freelance press photographer for local newspapers and magazines such as Hamburger Abendblatt, Stern and Quick. In 1970, he began his own photo studio in Hamburg, from which he worked as a commercial photographer. Geller travelled extensively for commercial clients such as Kodak, Agfa, Zeiss Glasses and many insurance companies. During his travels, he constructed his own reflectors and scrims to improve the lighting conditions while working outside and on the road. Since 1999, Geller owns the company California Sunbounce, which designs, constructs and distributes photographic reflectors and scrims.
