The World Press Photo and Pride Photo present Queer Havens, a special exhibition exploring what safe spaces look like for the LGBTQIA+ community through 11 powerful photographic projects—each offering a distinct lens on what it means to find or make safety as an LGBTQIA+ person today. Spanning more than 40 photographs, the exhibited works depict a wide range of queer experiences—from chosen families, intimate relationships, and nightlife, to reclaiming queer history, personal transitions, and acts of remembrance—revealing how queer communities imagine and create safe spaces.
Pride Photo and World Press Photo will host a public program with workshops, portfolio reviews, and movie screening of National Anthem (2023), in collaboration with Roze Filmdagen in Het Ketelhuis, on the opening day of the exhibition (12th July).
