Coco Olakunle is an independent photographer and educator working at the intersection of documentary and fashion photography. With a background in human geography, her work explores people, communities, and the nuances of everyday life.
Alongside her photographic work, she is deeply committed to mentoring emerging talent and building platforms that foster meaningful exchange within the photographic community. She has guided young photographers through mentorship trajectories with institutions such as De Meervaart and the Melkweg, supporting them in developing their practice and working towards their first exhibitions.
Coco is the co-founder of Showroom, a creative space in Amsterdam, community manager of DuPho Young, and curator of the Photography Book Club, a platform centered around photography books, visual storytelling, and collective learning.
