Elizabeth Krist

Elizabeth Krist is an independent visual editor and a founding member of the Visual Thinking Collective. 

A photography editor at National Geographic for over 20 years, Elizabeth Krist is now on the boards of Women Photograph and the W. Eugene Smith Fund. She works with the Eddie Adams Workshop and with Apple. She curated the Women of Vision exhibition and book and co-curated four Photoville installations as well as CatchLight’s 2023 Visual Storytelling Summit. She teaches for ICP, and often judges grants and competitions. She has freelanced for The New Yorker and Magnum Photos.
