John Minchillo is a staff photojournalist for the Associated Press based in New York City.
He joined the Associated Press in 2015 after a freelance career covering crisis and breaking news internationally. His work is featured in the winning submission for the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography that covered the Black Lives Matter protests in the United States.
