World Press Photo Foundation announces new global publishing partner

Lanoo Publishers to publish World Press Photo Yearbook

Amsterdam/Tielt, 6 December 2019

Lannoo Publishers and the World Press Photo Foundation are proud to announce their three year partnership. As of spring 2020, Lannoo Publishers will be the new global publishing partner of the renowned World Press Photo yearbook, featuring the most striking images and compelling stories awarded in the annual photo contest.

This collaboration further highlights the international ambition of both companies to reach a large audience with the stories that matter. The World Press Photo Foundation organizes 121 exhibitions in over 50 countries and is growing its programs and exhibitions. With Lannoo’s expertise, the yearbook will be distributed in a new way, and thematic or specifically targeted publications, both print and digital will be enabled. Lannoo Publishers has the necessary international sales and distribution channels, co-edition partners and publishing teams to enable this.

The World Press Photo Yearbook is currently printed in 6 languages with a total print run of approximately 26,000 copies. Both the Dutch and English versions will appear under the Lannoo imprint. Other languages ​​will be published by Lannoo co-partners.
